The Sree Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Foundation organized a press meet at Press Club, Somajiguda, Hyderabad, to raise a strong and unified objection against the title of the upcoming film “Raja Shivaji.” The organization stated that the title refers to the great Hindu warrior and legendary ruler Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, who is deeply revered by millions across India.

The press conference was conducted under the leadership of CS Chavan, Founder and Chairman of the foundation. The speakers also stated that the Sree Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Foundation has officially sent letters regarding the issue to:

  • Genelia Deshmukh – Producer from The Mumbai Film Company Private Limited
  • Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC)

Foundation representatives mentioned that the letters requested the concerned authorities and filmmakers to reconsider the title and ensure that proper respect is given to the legendary Maratha ruler in all official representations related to the film.
